DUPA is a diffuse form of hereditary hair loss that does not follow the usual pattern but occurs all over the head. It often affects the crown of hair at the back of the head, which is usually used as a donor area for hair transplants. For this reason, DUPA sufferers are usually not suitable for the procedure.
