On the transplantation day, you will first have another conversation with the doctor in charge. We will explain the whole procedure to you again and clarify any unanswered questions. Then, the treatment area on your head is drawn in, for example the hairline. We do this until you are satisfied. Then, the head is shaved in preparation for your hair transplant.

It is important to mention here that the shaving step is not mandatory. The next step is the removal of the grafts from the back of the head (i.e. the donor area). This is done in the prone position while your donor area is locally anaesthetised.
