UV rays are part of solar radiation and penetrate deep into the dermis. There they enhance the formation of free radicals and can cause cell damage. In addition, the epidermis becomes thinner, the skin dries out and loses elasticity. This results in early signs of skin ageing such as wrinkles and pigmentation spots.
