Diffuse hair

Diffuse hair

In diffuse hair loss or diffuse alopecia, the hair thins out evenly over the head - in contrast to hereditary hair loss, which manifests itself in receding hairline or tonsure, or circular hair loss, in which small bald patches about the size of a coin develop. Diffuse hair loss can lead to thinning hair, but rarely to complete baldness.
