Beard transplant

Beard transplant

In a beard transplant, active, hormone-resistant hair follicles are taken from a region densely populated with hair ('donor area', often at the lower back of the head) and grafted to the bald spots in the beard area ('recipient area'). After successful growth in the recipient area, the grafted hair follicles produce hair for the rest of the patient's life.
